Statement: Berlin needs its art and culture!
Houses, but above all, the people from the independent scene – those who keep the creative heartbeat of this city alive. Without art, the voices of diversity fall silent. Without culture, the glow of our city fades. Berlin would be quieter, grayer, poorer. We cannot allow this! Stand up for the soul of Berlin. Defend what unites us all: art, culture, freedom.

PREMIERE OF “2050 - UNSERE UTOPIEN”
Following the great success of “On My Shoulders”, which has been performed and produced at Ballhaus Naunynstraße since 2019, we can now look back on a total of 45 performances until June 2024. Most of the performances took place at the Ballhaus, of course, but the play also delighted audiences in Sri Lanka, Mannheim and Stuttgart. After the intensive examination of social issues in “3 Brothers” and “On My Shoulders”, it is now time for something new: together with the renowned artist Joy Alpuerto Ritter, I am presenting “2050 - Our Utopias”.

Ein Abend vollgepackt mit Worten, Gedanken, Emotionen, Fragen, Unklarheiten, Klarheiten, Vergangenheit, Zukunft und Empowerment!
Ich war mittendrin – auf der Bühne im Haus der Kulturen der Welt!
Dort erzählte ich die Geschichte der "3 Brüder" und rief zum kollektiven Tanzen auf, um mit dem Publikum, Organisator*innen und Mitwirkenden, nach einem langen und bedeutungsvollen Tag Energie zu teilen, um weiterzumachen, wofür wir uns an diesem Tag versammelt haben: empowern und erinnern!
Wir brauchen einen Tanz 2.0
An einem sonnigen Morgen im Podewill traf ich auf Sasha Amaya, beiden wurden wir von Johanna Wilhelm interviewt. Wer entscheidet eigentlich, welche Tanzformen als zeitgenössisch gelten und welche nicht? In einem Panel im Rahmen des Festivals ALLES TANZT am 29.05.2024 kommen Johannes Odenthal, Sasha Amaya und ich dazu miteinander ins Gespräch. tanzraumberlin wird mit uns sprechen über Hürden und Ausschlüsse im zeitgenössischen Kanon und über Utopien des Zeitgenössischen.
